GX-DX hMPV Real-Time PCR kit is intended to be used as an in vitro diagnosc kit for detecng Human Metapneumovirus (hMPV) RNA in nasal and oral secreons samples using a real-me PCR thermal cycler. The virus belongs to the Paramyxoviridae family and contains single-stranded RNA as its genec material. Human metapneumovirus is a common respiratory virus causing upper and lower respiratory tract infecons in young TM children, elderly, immunocompromised individuals. GX-DX hMPV Real-Time PCR kit contains a set of primer probe specific for hMPV and the RNase P gene as an Internal control (IC) to check the quality of extracted viral RNA from the biological samples.
